The wg娛樂城 hosts its first ever parliamentary drop-in event

On Wednesday 19 March, for the first time ever, the wg娛樂城 hosted a reception in the Houses of Parliament.

This event was kindly sponsored by Christine Jardine MP, and was attended by wg娛樂城 President Tim Button, CEO Cait Allen, Communication and Marketing Manager, Katrin Mahfuz, alongside representatives from the RCC.

The purpose of the event was to increase engagement with parliamentarians, highlight the impact our members are making in their communities and the scale of opportunity if our sector is utilised more effectively. This included showcasing the wg娛樂城鈥榮 latest health economics research which we鈥檙e delighted to present to members at our webinar on Thursday 3 April. The report highlights how chiropractors could not only help reduce the number of people waiting for NHS appointments but boost economic productivity by helping more people return to the workforce. This reception also created a wonderful opportunity to engage with MPs and Peers about the current barriers chiropractors face to gaining an Allied Health Professions (AHP) status.

Over 30 MPs and Peers from across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland attended the event and took photos with the wg娛樂城's pledge boards in support of the integration of chiropractic

This spectacular event was attended by over 30 MPs and Peers, including MPs from across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The wg娛樂城 will consequently be sending an open letter to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Wes Streeting, following the signatures of support from parliamentarians calling for him to meet with representatives from the sector, and to consider the integration of chiropractors into the NHS.

This event has generated an amazing stepping stone for the wg娛樂城鈥檚 political engagement which has been a key focus of our work in 2025, as we continue to push for chiropractors up and down the UK to be given AHP status so that we can support the NHS in the national MSK response.

Commenting on the event, wg娛樂城 President, Tim Button, said:

鈥淭his reception was a wonderful opportunity to raise the profile of chiropractors and increase our credibility as a sector by securing parliamentary support. The event marks an exciting new chapter for the wg娛樂城, and I look forward to seeing where this takes us.鈥
