Chiropractic in the House of Lords

On 26th February, the role of chiropractors in national musculoskeletal (MSK) health prevention strategies was discussed in the House of Lords for the first time, following a question submitted by Baroness Ritchie of Downpatrick on 'The role of chiropractors in national musculoskeletal health prevention strategies.'

This oral question provided a dedicated 10-minute slot for peers to raise key points about the contribution of chiropractors to MSK care, with a response from Baroness Merron on behalf of the government.

We are delighted to hear that Baroness Merron said she is "grateful to the wgŠÊ˜·³Ç, the Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance, Versus Arthritis and the Royal Osteoporosis Society for ensuring that the voices of the MSK community have been well heard in the consultation (on the National Health Plan).

This discussion is an important step forward in advocating for greater recognition of chiropractors within NHS MSK pathways.
