Research Poster Competition

Chiro Live offers researchers, scholars, practitioners and students the opportunity to share their research findings in a poster format throughout the event.

Prizes are awarded in each of two categories: student and registered clinician and issued by Associate Professor at Victoria University in Melbourne, Dr Kenneth Young.

Call for Abstract Submissions: Share Your Research at Chiro Live 2025!

Join us at the prestigious De Vere Beaumont Estate in Windsor for Chiro Live 2025, a landmark event celebrating 100-years of the wgŠÊ˜·³Ç. This is your chance to showcase your research, inspire your peers, and contribute to the future of chiropractic care.

The main exhibition and poster presentations will take place on Saturday, 15th November 2025, as part of this dynamic, two-day conference. We invite practitioners and students alike to submit their work for this unique platform that brings together the brightest minds in the chiropractic community.

Whether you are an undergraduate student, PhD student, early-career researcher, or an experienced practitioner, your research can help spark meaningful dialogue and innovation. Accepted posters will be displayed throughout the conference, and prizes will be awarded for the best poster in both student and practitioner categories.

Submission Categories

Your abstract submission could include:

  • Original Research: Randomised clinical trials, case series/report, educational research, or surveys.
  • Protocols: Share your methodology for ongoing research.
  • Literature Reviews: Present your analysis of existing knowledge.
  • Thesis chapter

We welcome submissions, even if your project has been published or presented at another meeting/conference.

Students are especially encouraged to participate, gaining invaluable exposure while contributing to the advancement of chiropractic knowledge. For awarding prizes, ‘students’ are defined as undergraduate students; PhD students are considered practitioners.

Key Details for Abstract Submission

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: Friday 15th August 2025, at 2 PM UK time.
  • Abstracts should be structured: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
  • Word Limit: 250 words (excluding title).
  • Institutional ethics approval number or exemption is required for projects involving living subjects or human tissue.
  • Abstracts should not include references, tables, graphs, figures, pictures, or video.
  • The author who submits the abstract will be the corresponding author.
  • The corresponding author will be the contact person responsible for submission of all required materials and all correspondence.
  • The corresponding author does not need to be the primary author, but all authors of a submitted work must agree to the submission in writing. Email acknowledgment of consent for submission is acceptable. Images of emails may be inserted on to the abstract document.
  • Submissions without consent from all authors will not be considered.
  • The corresponding author is responsible for accuracy of the abstract submission.
  • Any one person may submit a maximum of two (2) abstracts.
  • Only one (1) abstract may be submitted for any project.
  • Only primary or co-authors are allowed to submit an abstract to the conference (non-authors are not allowed to submit).
  • By submitting an abstract, the authors consent that the abstract may be published in wgŠÊ˜·³Ç Communications if the submission is accepted for presentation.
  • Abstracts will be published as submitted by the corresponding author. It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to ensure that all requirements are met and that the work is free from factual or other errors (spelling, grammar, etc.)

Peer Review Process

  • Your submission will be evaluated by an international, multi-disciplinary team of scholars. Decisions will be returned by Friday, 12th September 2025. Feedback on unsuccessful submissions is available upon request.
  • Criteria will include the scientific merit of the project and originality of presentation.
  • A member of the peer review committee may submit an abstract but will be excluded from the review process for that submission and will not be eligible for a prize.
  • Decisions of the peer reviewers are final.

Poster Presentation Requirements

  • Final versions of accepted posters must be submitted electronically by Friday, 26th September 2025 in PDF format in order to be considered for a prize. 
    If an abstract is accepted for poster presentation, the presenting authors must attend Chiro Live 2025 on Saturday 15th November to showcase their posters.
  • The presenter at the conference should be the corresponding author of the work. Exceptions may be granted with advanced notice.
  • Presenting authors must complete paid registration to the conference by no later than Friday 10th October 2025 to be included in the programme and proceedings. It is the presenting author’s responsibility to secure funding to register and attend the Chiro Live conference on Saturday 15th November 2025.
  • By submitting posters as a PDF, the authors consent that the poster may be published in wgŠÊ˜·³Ç Communications before, during or after the conference.
